Program Overview:
Our Galena Creek Exploration Field Trips offer an unforgettable outdoor learning experience for your students.
Explore nature's wonders in a whirlwind 3-hour adventure! Our Naturalists lead hands-on nature-based activities, uncovering fascinating plants, animals, and exploring ecosystems. Your students will delve into interactive activities, sparking curiosity and igniting a passion for the natural world - all in just half a day!
Our 6-hour Extended Day Field Study dives deeper into local ecosystems, fostering environmental literacy and building strong connections with nature. Through hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning, students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) principles, aligning with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Logistics:
Location: Galena Creek Regional Park 18250 Mt. Rose Hwy Reno NV 89511
Field Trip Duration: Our Field trips are from 10am-1:30pm and included a 30 min lunch break.
3-hour Field Trip Cost: $6 per student.
Title 1 Schools: $2 per student (subject to scholarship availability).
6-hour Extended Field Study Duration: Typically, 6 hours (flexible based on specific program). 10am -4pm with a 45 min lunch break.
6-hour Extended Field Study Cost: $45/student (lunch and 2 snacks included).
Title 1 schools: Free (subject to scholarship availability).
Additional Information:
Weather: We rarely cancel due to weather. In extreme cases (wildfires, heavy snow, lightning etc.), we will work with you to reschedule.
Teacher resources: We understand the importance of planning! Once you confirm, we will share detailed program outlines, learning objectives, park map, and pre- and post-visit activities to support your classroom curriculum.
